Glorious Medieval Stained Glass
Your visit begins with a guided tour of the

Abbey Museum holds Australia’s most significant
collection of Stained Glass. You will learn their
history, which spans nearly 1000 years, and the
remarkable art of stained glass-making. (30 min)
Abbey Museum - Unexpected Treasures
You then wander back through the lovely gardens
to view the wonders inside the Abbey Museum, including
medieval armour and weapons, beautifully illuminated
manuscripts, wood-carvings and pottery. As well, there
are all sorts of treasures - ancient stone axes; Roman
glass and pottery; Saxon jewellery and Victorian
glasswork; artefacts from Egypt, China, Cyprus and many
other countries. (60 min)
Delicious Lunch and Sir Justyn
After a leisurely lunch your group will meet Sir
Justyn, a noble medieval knight. Sir Justyn talks
eloquently of life in the Middle Ages, addressing
commonly encountered myths, little known facts about
